About KWh Desk

KWh Desk is an independent reference for US commercial electricity prices. It exists because almost everything written about business electricity rates is published by a company that wants to sell you a contract, and a buyer comparing offers has nowhere neutral to check what the market actually did last month.

We are not an electricity supplier, a broker, or a lead generator. We do not take your details and pass them to a salesperson — there is no form here that does that. Everything published is compiled from public EIA data and carries its period and source, so you can check it.

Who writes this

Pages are compiled and published by KWh Desk from the dataset described in our methodology. We do not put invented analyst names or credentials on data pages.

How we may make money

The site currently carries no advertising and no affiliate links. If that changes, it will be disclosed on the page where it appears, and it will not change the data: the figures come from EIA's dataset and are generated mechanically.
